It was probably a mistake to read this first thing in the morning at work. So many emotions to process! (I'm a high school teacher and it was the students' first day back from break. They arrived shortly after I finished reading.) I'm glad things turned out okay. I wish you the best as you navigate through life; it's not easy. I hope you have an incredible 2024.

You have such a way with words Liz, I can’t find the right way to describe it. I’m so glad you’re okay and appreciate your vulnerability. You’re not alone! 💕

I'd read a whole book if you ever publish one

Liz, you're a genius.

I dealt with a similar (thankfully also benign) thing last year, and will never forget the most shocking part was the sheer casualness of it all. anyway, never stop writing.

so glad you're ok, and thanks for sharing this very vulnerable revelation - i too am ferociously independent, so i understand. two years ago i injured my hand severely, and instead of calling an ambulance or friend, i stupidly drove myself to the ER and didn't tell most of my friends until after i had surgery three weeks later. i've been trying to be less stupid ever since, and give people i love the opportunity (by telling them info!!) to help me. ♥️
